CNC Turning Centres

Our turning centres cover a wide range — from precision parts of Ø10 mm to large shafts of Ø500 mm and 1,500 mm in length. With turn-mill capability, counter spindle and bar feeder we produce complete parts in a single pass.

Takisawa LA 250 M
Turn-mill centre

Universal turn-mill centre with driven tools. Milling, drilling and thread-cutting operations run directly in the turning set-up — no transfer to a milling machine. Particularly economical for parts that combine turning and milling operations.

DMG Mori CTV 250
Vertical lathe

Vertical turning centre with automatic pick-up for very short idle times and high quantities. The vertical layout lets gravity clear the chips more effectively and suits disc-shaped parts and flanges particularly well.

DMG Mori CTX 400
CNC lathe

Universal turning centre for precision turned parts up to Ø65 mm. Compact and economical for smaller turned parts with demanding accuracy — ideal for shafts, bolts, bushes and stepped shafts in one-off and small batch production.

CNC Machining Centre

Our 5-axis machining centre, the DMG Mori DMU 50, is the heart of the milling department. Simultaneous 5-axis machining, integrated robot automation and interpolation turning make complex contours possible in a single set-up.

DMG Mori DMU 50
5-axis machining centre · core machine

A premium-class universal 5-axis simultaneous machining centre. Simultaneous swivelling of the table produces complex curved surfaces, undercuts and deep bores in one set-up — saving time, avoiding re-clamping errors and raising accuracy. The integrated robot automation allows unattended production of small parts overnight or at weekends.

Quality Assurance & Metrology

Precision begins with measurement. Two measuring machines together cover the whole range: the tactile Zeiss Prismo Navigator for large parts and the tightest tolerances, the optical Keyence VL-500 for fast, non-contact capture and reverse engineering where no drawing exists.

Zeiss Prismo Navigator 10 HTG
Tactile CNC coordinate measuring machine

A measuring centre for large, high-accuracy parts. The scanning VAST Gold probe follows contours continuously rather than point by point — capturing form and position tolerances on free-form surfaces in a single pass. Used for initial sample inspection, series monitoring and the acceptance of large assemblies that exceed the optical measuring range.

Keyence VL-500
Optical 3D coordinate measuring machine

State-of-the-art non-contact 3D metrology using structured light. The Keyence VL-500 digitises parts completely within seconds and delivers full STL data for nominal-actual comparison. Used for initial sample inspection, in-process control and reverse engineering of spare parts without a drawing.

💻 CAD/CAM software

SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor and Siemens NX for design review and CAM programming directly on the 3D model.

🔄 Reverse engineering

Spare parts with no drawing available: 3D scan on the Keyence VL-500 → STL model → CAM program → production. The complete process chain under one roof.

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Machinery

Which machines do you have?
Four CNC turning centres from Smec, Takisawa and DMG Mori, a 5-axis DMG Mori DMU 50 machining centre with robot automation, two coordinate measuring machines from Zeiss and Keyence, plus bandsaw, surface grinder and welding equipment.
How accurately can you measure?
The tactile Zeiss Prismo Navigator achieves a length measurement error of MPE_E = 2.4 + L/300 µm to ISO 10360-2 with a probing error of 1.7 µm. The optical Keyence VL-500 works to ±10 µm.
How do your two measuring machines differ?
The Keyence digitises surfaces without contact and delivers STL data — the tool for reverse engineering. The Zeiss measures tactilely against nominal dimensions and delivers form and position tolerances with inspection documents. Two tasks, not two quality grades.
Is your measuring equipment calibrated?
Yes, both calibrated after installation on site. The interval is one year and is recorded in the machine logbook, comparable to a recurring statutory inspection. Without traceable measuring equipment there would be no credible inspection reports.
What is interpolation turning?
The DMU 50 produces round contours through coordinated axis movement, without transferring the part to a lathe. One set-up fewer means one source of error fewer.
Can you run production unattended?
Yes. The robot automation on the DMU 50 loads the machine independently for small parts, so batches run overnight and at weekends. That shortens lead times without a shift-work surcharge.
